Perfume for a Great Cause: The 7 Virtues

Hello everyone,

Apologies for not updating this blog on a daily or weekly basis.  It's been quite the month with many activities happening.

Lately, I've been venturing on what the next type of perfume to purchase.  I've been really impressed with a specific perfume from Afghanistan called The 7 Virtues.  As quoted in their site: "We source organic oils for our fragrances from countries like Afghanistan and Haiti with future oils being sourced from the Middle East and Africa. Every time we purchase legal organic oils from Afghanistan, we are doing our part to provide alternatives to the illegal poppy crop which causes instability in our own towns and communities as well as Afghanistan as the illegal poppy crop accounts for 90 per cent of the world’s heroin drug trade.

Our goal is to encourage others to do trade with business people in Afghanistan  and other nations experiencing strife as a part of the solution to building peace."

There are 2 scents available: The 7 Virtues Afghanistan Orange Blossom Eau de Parfum and The 7 Virtues Noble Rose of Afghanistan.  A friend of mine purchased the Noble Rose scent which was sold out during the Meet and Greet CBC's Dragon's Den W. Brett Wilson and CEO Barb Stegemann hosted by The Bay.  The two are the business partners behind this great cause.

Personally I love the Afghanistan Orange Blossom Eau de Parfum as it contains a hint of Jasmine reminding me of the Filipino national flower also known as Sampaguita.

Ladies, if you are on the next venture to purchasing that next bottle of perfume, check out the 7 Virtues.  You will smell great, at the same time contributing to a great cause!

My friend Danielle B. with CBC's Dragon's Den W. Brett Wilson.
